A couple of weeks ago, I made gold painted lego’s in Blender 2.8. The final result was so relaxing for me to watch.
I think LEGO’s should release a limited edition, 24 carat golden dipped box. Will they do this? Probably not but I’m just the idea person.
Below is the final video render animation.
This is another video made from the Ducky 3D tutorial entitled ‘Easy LEGO Animation in EEVEE Blender 2.8.’ I know I say this after almost every blog post but this animation has to be one of my favorites. As much as I do love the animation, there were two problems that I did encounter.
The first issue was animating the legos to drop after 2 seconds. If you watch the finish render in Ducky 3D’s video and mine, my lego’s stay stuck to the golden ball in the middle of the screen. I’m still not entirely sure what I did wrong but I followed his tutorial step by step.
The second issue, that I thankfully figured out, was putting a background behind the animation. When I was ready to do my final render, I noticed that my lego’s weren’t showing off their gold coloring. After a couple of minutes, I added the gold colored background and 3 different light sources.
The images below are screenshots I took throughout the animation process.
JJ signing out.
Until next time.
